Penobrut is a selective, systemic, broad-spectrum, post-emergence herbicide that can be used in rice cultivation under both transplanted and direct-seeded conditions.
Penobrut interferes with lipid metabolism in susceptible grass weeds by targeting the acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme, which is crucial for fatty acid synthesis. By inhibiting this enzyme, Penobrut prevents the production of fatty acids, ultimately causing the weed to die.
